A.   Videoinfo service is free. We do have relevant national banner advertising that supports our services.

Q.   Who's behind Videoinfo?

A.   Your local newspaper or radio/TV broadcast station brings you Cell-it supported video. They want readers, listeners, and viewers to become a community. No more one way broadcasting. Using your cell phone camera, digital camera, webcam, or video camera you can join the new community and share your thoughts, values, input, attitude, and more.

Q.   How can I submit my pictures or video for display on the internet?

A.   By cell phone, attach the media to an email. By PC, visit the media site and post your files. Most all cell phones with cameras can send media to an email address. Local cell phone charges apply. There are no other charges from the newspaper/station. Locate the file on your phone, choose the SEND option, send to station@videoinfo.ro, and send. It’s free from us so add us to your address book and post your media as often as you like. For specific events, the newspaper or station might ask you to include a specific mention in the SUBJECT. For example: Contest, Holiday, Song Title, or Article Reference. The SUBJECT line becomes the media title. You can go to the station/newspaper website and add your own tags, comments, email a friend, share links, and even use embed player code to display this media on your page and other pages. If you have longer media like custom edited video then you can post by your PC by using the special upload page. The maximum file size is 50 MB which will take almost 15-minutes to upload with a standard home connection.

Getting Started

Q. What are the requirements?

A. The basic requirements are a cell phone with camera. Or, you can use a computer with a webcam, video capture card, or media adapter for a video camera. To watch your video or pictures you’ll need a PC with speakers and a broadband Internet connection. The service uses Flash Player 9, and works in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.

Registration and Login

Q. Do I need to register?

A. Our service does not require registration. You can upload directly from your cell phone without advance or any registration. We do not spam. We will confirm your upload to your cell phone. PC posting does not require registration. We may add registration option later so you can edit your posting, add information, and save things you like on the site.

Tags

Q. What are Tags?

A. A Tag is a way to identify and organize information. For example, you could Tag any picture or video with any word that you think is relevant. Tags are a great way to search for things you're interested in. As more people Tag stuff the service becomes more interesting for everyone, so start Tagging and see what we mean!

Q. What is a “Tag Cloud”?

A. A Tag Cloud is shown that summaries all current tags and highlights the most often tags with color and type sizing. You can quickly identify the most popular tags as the larger, bolder, more striking colors. The Tag Cloud is automatically updated by the current tags.

Q. What can I do with the "Video"?

A. You can see the most recent and most popular video list. You can search for any video by title or comments. You can sort the videos by title, date, popularity, and search results.

Q. What's "Rate"?

A. You can evaluate or rate any media. Any rating counts as one vote. The value (1=least to 5=most) allows you to tell owners how strongly you feel.

Q. What are "views"?

A. Every time the video or picture is displayed a view is added to the count. This allows you to identify the most popular media.

Q. What are "Flags"?

A. You can FLAG any media for objectionable content, copyright violations, or other unsuitable material. When media is “Flagged” it is suspended until it can be reviewed. Flagged media can be re-activated or deleted. Generally, it takes several flags to suspend viewing. However, each flag creates an administration email. Each station/newspaper has their own flag policy.

Q. What's a "Comment"?

A. You can comment on any media. Registration is not required. The time/date will be noted along with your comment. We do filter for bad words. Objectionable comments will be deleted. Comments are searchable and help you identify media you would like to see. Comments also let you know what others think.

Q. What is "Message"?

A. You can send the media author a message. You will not know their identification and we will not display their contact details. You will be able to “Message” them about their material.

Q. What's "Tell-a-friend"?

A. You can send a special invitation to friends so they can see the video or picture. It’s easy.

Q. What's "Share"?

A. Besides “Tell-a-friend” you can copy the link to any media or even copy the “embed code” so you can display the media on other sites.
